Shangri-La Nepal: Myths & Realities.
On Saturday the 6th. May is again the Nepal Day, the annual conference of the German-Nepal Society e.V. This year’s motto is Shangri-La Nepal: Myths & Realities.
We want to examine from various points of view what is currently changing in Nepal, where things should change urgently and what initiatives are there to bring about concrete change. Questions like these will be experts from science, business, politics and society on the 34th. Nepal day entitled „ Shangri-La: Myths & Realities “ from different angles, illuminate and discuss. Shear points are particularly in the areas of vocational training, health, tourism and the environment and waste management.
As a special guest of honor, the German ambassador to Kathmandu, Dr. Thomas Prince. Other speakers include political expert Dr. Karl-Heinz Krämer and Dr. med. Arne Drews, Prof. Dr. Knerr and many guests from Nepal and Germany.

The Nepal Foundation
With the foundation, we want to ensure that the DNG will be able to carry out its tasks on a permanent basis. The foundation should enable our project partners to carry out their work according to the principle „ Help for self-help “.
The thematic focus of the foundation should be education and the creation of future opportunities for Nepalis and to promote engagement. At the same time, the foundation, like the DNG, aims to strengthen intercultural cooperation between Nepal and Germany through development education. The foundation is also intended to ensure the continued existence of the magazine „ Nepal Information “, Nepal-I for short.
